Denise Matthews
Following her career in senior retail roles, Denise moved into recruitment in the mid 90’s and has specialised in recruiting for multiple disciplines including Operations, Buying & Merchandising, Human Resources, Learning & Development and Marketing, as well as having experience in speciality functions such as Loss Prevention and Property. Having developed her early Consultancy career with Carver Consultants and Macmillan Davies Hodes she then spent nine years as a Director of The One Consultancy, specialising in recruiting for retail and hospitality assignments from senior to executive level positions and additionally working as a qualified executive Coach. Denise is also a Trustee of the Dyspraxia Foundation where her role is Chair of PR & Marketing; raising awareness of Dyspraxia.

Alan Gaynor
Alan Gaynor is delighted to support Denise Matthews as Investor Chairman of diemconsultancy; a natural development following many years as a satisfied client. The founder, in 1990, of APG Associates, Alan is a leading Business Development, Start-Up and Turnaround Specialist in retail, manufacturing, leisure and services, who operates independently as an Interim Chief Executive, NED, Chairman and/or Investor, latterly Chief Restructuring Officer at Allied Carpets. Marianne O Connor
Marianne has over ten years experience working as a trainer, qualified ILM coach and facilitator within the corporate sector. Post graduation Marianne trained with Theatre de Complicitie and Philippe Gaullier & toured internationally with her own theatre company Body Tales. Her one to one personal impact coaching sessions focus on enabling the client to access their authentic personal presence, with emphasis on developing heightened physical awareness and vocal confidence. Her clients span both private and public sector including Accenture, the BBC, BP, Channel 4, Clifford Chance, KPMG, Lloyds TSB the MOD and the NHS.

Ruth Newnham
In 2002, following a successful 15 year career in the quality end of the hospitality market as an HR Manager specialising in learning and development, Ruth became an independent trainer and coach & in 2005 she established The Inspiration Group, offering training in a wide range of management and service based subjects from effective communication to project management. Recent projects include the design, development and delivery of multi-module Management Development and Graduate training programmes for retail and software companies, and the design and delivery of a Customer Service workshop for a medical services company. Ruth is an enthusiastic advocate of lifelong learning and believes in taking the most practical approach to learning wherever possible. Clients include; The Aurum Group, Johnsons Cleaners UK ltd, AVEVA Group, Acision, The British Horseracing Authority, The Practice Plc. The Inspiration Group are also ILM approved as a recognised provider.

Rose Mattock
Rose advises upon and heads up our research function in an Associate capacity and has over 11 years experience in research in both a management and delivery capacity within both the UK and Europe. Having previously spent time working both in-house in large Blue Chip businesses and in external roles, she has built her career on providing headhunting solutions of the highest calibre. Her experience is cross functional in a wide range of industries and disciplines. Rose has also previously managed large research teams and provided training and development support to executive search firms.

Rose manages the initial approach stage of the assignment, identifying key individuals within target organisations and assessing their suitability and establishing/engendering interest in the opportunity.
